Would you like to learn the philosophy of
Tikanga Māori
Tikanga Maori programmes use Maori philosophy, values, knowledge and practice to help Taane or Wahine increase their understanding of their Maori identity, teach them values and improve their self-esteem – helping them become motivated to address the causes of their offending.
Hoani Waititi Marae offers separate programmes for Taane and Wahine. The Wahine Programme runs for 3 Days, and the Taane Programmes run for one week.
At the end of the Wananga the Taane and Wahine will graduate in the presence of the Marae and their whanau.

Marae Experience
Hoani Waititi is an urban Marae which offers your school or group the opportunity to experience the Maori culture through partaking in traditional Maori story telling, cultural workshops, games, and experiences on the Marae.

Te Whare Tu Taua o Aotearoa
Founding base for Te Whare Tu Taua National School for Ancient Maori Weaponry. We provides a comprehensive course in the use of Maori weapons, Maori language, Maori history, Maori traditions, Maori customs, fitness and leadership.
